No Title? A lot of mish-mash

I really couldn't think of a title for this post (considering it is 5 in the morning and I am on the computer). But, I haven't posted in a while and I should.

First of all, I am addicted to sewing and admitting it is the first step. Well, actually I am addicted to craft blogs and all of the wealth of information that I have discovered. You can find out how to do anything, just by searching crafting blogs. See my gargantuan list of craft blogs on the side of your screen? Yes, it's true, I read them all...and then some... I'm addicted to learning how to sew/create/re-purpose things and my house is too small for such a hobby. Justin has been very supportive (which I appreciate) although, he does quite often shake his head at me when I show him my latest project. Currently, I am making a t-shirt for Connor using Freezer paper stencils. It's pretty cool if I do say so myself.

But, I am also constantly working on some kind of sewing project too. I think the gratification from taking a piece of fabric and turning it into something useful and recognizable, is a pretty awesome thing. The last thing I sewed up was a bib for Carly. Since she is the spit up queen, she needs a lot of bibs. Not only that, but she needs big bibs too, to catch all of that yummy goodness. Oh, the last thing that I made, that wasn't child related, was a camera strap cover. I made it out of cream chenille on one side and this really cute patchwork of some pastel pink and green material on the other. Because of those lovely color choices, Justin is now refusing to use the camera. I thought he was more in touch with his manhood than that. Oh well, I just won't be in anymore pictures then, right?

On to the kiddos...

Well, Connor is growing into being the best big brother ever. His current display of love for Carly, appears in the excitement that he gets when he wants to put her 'toy' in the freezer. I think, he thinks he is doing something mischievous, and so that is why it is so fun. However, in all reality, said 'toy' is really her teething ring and she loves it cold. He is still into baseball and his skills are improving. I'm thinking Majors by next spring. Justin takes him on fishing trips on some Saturdays here and there so that I can sew. (What a great husband :o) ) Connor loves going and I hope that one day he will look back and remember those trips and the love that Justin shows him. In fact, this last trip, Justin said they were both sitting on a log, fishing, and Connor looked up and him and told him he loved him. Out of nowhere. On his own. I get all mushy just thinking about that. He is in love with the movie CARS right now, and he says Lightning McQueen with the cutest little kid accent.

Connor has definitely turned into the stereotypical two-year-old boy though. He is trouble on two legs. Well, not that bad, but look out if you see him running towards an area of dirt. He is the sliding king. Anything to get dirty. I love that little kid.

I am totally smitten with Carly. She is the happiest baby. She smiles constantly and can out talk anyone. She gets up at the crack of dawn. In fact, she was just talking in her crib right now at 5AM. That's right, she wakes up talking and playing with the overabundance of toys that we pile into her crib to keep her busy when she wakes up early. She used to sleep in till 7, but for some odd reason, that diminished. Oh well, I guess you can't win them all. As I have mentioned before, she spits up like crazy. I'm thinking she might be a superhero and her spit up is her defense against the enemy. But, if that is the case, I would be the enemy. Eh. Maybe she just hates our carpet. She is in the 95th percentile of both height and weight (whatever happened to i before e except after c? Cause those last two words DO NOT follow that rule). Anyhow, she is a big gal, but not chubby at all. She is in roughly 9 month clothing at 6 months. She is a great daughter.

**Connorisms**

So the other day I was getting on to Connor for something, and I kept asking him if he understood and he told me "I hear ya babe". WHAT?! Where the heck did he get that saying and how did he know how to use it?
